The Lowndes County Port is served on site by:

• Class 1 Kansas City Southern (KCS)
• Connections with Class I Burlington Northern (BN)
• Short line rails
  
  • Columbus & Greenville (CAGY)*
  • Alabama & Gulf Coast (AGR, a connection to Mobile)
  • Golden Triangle (GTRA, serving a Weyerhaeuser plant)
  • Luxapalila Valley (LXVR) that connects to the BN.

*The CAGY currently has trackage rights from Columbus to West Point via the KCS segment now referred to as the Alabama Southern (ABS). The CAGY provides service to Steel Dynamics (Severstal), hauling steel coils. The ABS, AGR, LXVR, and CAGY are owned by Genesee and Wyoming, a holding company for short-line railroads.
